I often run across entrepreneurs who believe that they should borrow as much as they can in order to get their business where they want it to be. Then they find ways to keep spending it
It reminds me of the old jokes about the blond/the polack/the fill in the blank who thought that if they had checks, they had money.
If you are borrowing money for capital expenditures, and using it to survive on, you aren't making money, anymore than people who owned real estate made money if they didn't sell the property, just borrowed on it.
Now many of those same people want to give back the keys and walk away from the property that they've taken the money out of. It just shouldn't work that way. That would be like thinking that if my Mercedes has too many miles and I can't get enough money to pay it off that I should be allowed to give it back. It doesn't happen.
Now we have the government doing the same thing and borrowing to support the economy.
There seems to be no end in sight, yet you know there has to be.
